Courthouse is noticeably quieter. Units facing Wilson or Clarendon Boulevard below the fourth floor experience street noise that a box fan won’t fully mask; rear-facing or higher-floor units are substantially quieter. Courthouse sidewalks reach genuinely residential quiet by 8pm on weekdays; you can open a bedroom window in July without outdoor noise intrusion. Clarendon’s foot traffic doesn’t slow until after 10pm weeknights, midnight on weekends. If acoustic environment matters—particularly for open windows in summer—Courthouse is the more forgiving choice.
